Cindy Rainne is a a singer, pianist, songwriter, performer and owner of her own music school where she teaches voice and piano. Her music is soul music with jazzy chord progressions, Caribbean rhythms that get your hips moving, reggae bass lines, string lines that ebb and flow like waves, gospel riffs and even some classical piano thrown in for good measure.  She calls it “Clearwater Soul.”

Most of her songs are about her journey to self-love and her journey as a musician has led her to explore the truth of who she is. It’s required her to peel off the mask she once wore, find the real Cindy, and fall head-over-heels in love with her. Her mission is to be an example of unconditional self-love to others and change the world, one song a time.

She has performed at many venues in and around the New York City area and released her debut single and music video, Irresistible Me in 2017, which has been played on mainstream radio. Her debut EP, The Mask, is available for purchase on all major music outlets.

In this episode, we discuss:

  • Her childhood, being bullied and what that did to her self-esteem
  • Deciding her career path at age 12 and how the journey evolved
  • Why she moved back in with her parents at age 28
  • The course she took and what she learned she had to do herself
  • Her experience with crowdfunding and why it was the hardest thing she did in her life
  • Losing $1,100 from a show at the worst time and what she learned
  • The importance and impact of follow-up
  • What she did in the last hours of her campaign that helped her meet her ultimate goal of $20K with two minutes to spare!
  • Her three weeks in London with a producer and her magical experience there
  • Her songwriting process and why many of them are mantras
  • Her BIG release party coming up this week, self-love, investments and her upcoming debut EP
