Kate DiLeo
This week Ivy Slater, host of Her Success Story, chats with her guest, Kate DiLeo. The two talk about how she became an “accidental brand strategist,” how Kate DiLeo Branding differs from the competition, and some tips for creating a brand with a goal of converting, not convincing.
In this episode, we discuss:
Kate DiLeo is an “accidental brand strategist” who originally intended to pursue a PhD in Anthropology, yet fell in love with the power of branding during her first sales job. In the pursuit of making quota, she realized she needed to cut through the noise with a message that would compel prospects to want to have a conversation. It was that, or she was out of a job.
She overcame, honed her craft, and went on to successfully manage millions in pipeline by delivering a simple pitch that invited prospects to engage in a compelling conversation. That pitch, which Kate calls, “The Brand Trifecta,” is rooted in her firm belief that brand is the path of least resistance to revenue. Throughout her career in both agency and corporate settings, she pursued her branding side hustle until 2019, when she turned it into her full-time business.
Kate is honored to have worked with more than 200 brands across 20 sectors. She is a sought after branding expert, providing actionable content that excites audiences about the power of branding and the potential for growth within their own organizations. Her book, Muting the Megaphone, Stop Telling Stories and Start Having Conversations, is set to be released in July of 2022.
